To fit in with The Time Travel Nexus team, writers must have the following qualities:
- You must be passionate. Since our website revolves around time travel stories in every medium, we want our writers to love those stories. Whether you have a passion for a particular time travel book or TV series, enjoy discussing time travel paradoxes with your friends late into the night, or simply love time travel wherever you find it, we’ll work with you to develop writing assignments that align with the topics you care about most deeply.
- You must write coherently. We don’t require writers to have a lot of previous experience, but we do expect you to understand the fundamentals of writing and to be able to express your ideas clearly and in a way that’s easy to read.
- You must be able to write posts in a timely manner. We work with our writers to establish a writing schedule that fits their lifestyle, be it weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Some types of articles, such as TV episode recaps or breaking news, need to be posted as quickly as possible and will have more immediate deadlines.
- You must enjoy working with a fun team where sometimes tenses are relative. After all, we are all fans of time travel here.
If you believe you’d be a good fit for our team, here’s how you apply (by September 15th):
What To Include On Your Application
- Send an email to contribute@timetravelnexus.com. Introduce yourself, tell us about any writing experience (if any), and why you would like to write for the Time Travel Nexus.
- What is your favorite time travel story, and why?
- What three time-travel-related topics would you be most interested in writing about?
- We would also like you to attach a spec piece (800-1500 words) to the email. It can be on any time travel related topic you like.
Have questions before or after you send your application? Send them along to the same email address listed above.
At present, The Time Travel Nexus is a “for the love” market.
