When Korean war vet Ret. Corporal Lawrence “Red” Hawkins stumbles across a doctor from the future, he embarks on the most important journey of his life…with the future of humanity at stake. For he must travel thousands of years into the future to join in a galactic Time War where alien beings are poised to eradicate humanity in a conflict that never ends.

Spearheading the fight against the alien race (known only as the Enemy) is Artesha, a human so advanced, so damaged by a war she’s been fighting across endless time and space, that her physical form has been destroyed; she not only has been uploaded into the Center’s web where she runs humanity’s vast communication network–she has become it.

While Artesha tries to calculate the best way to victory in a playing field being continuously altered by time surges, it is all that she and her fleet coordinators, Paulo Magwareet and Burma Brahmasutra, can do to keep up with the fallout. For there is also another presence at play whom the humans know as the Being, and the Enemy label the Beast. It will take all of the time travelers, across many different eras of humanity, working together to uncover this mysterious entity’s goal, to make right a time torn asunder so they can forge a future for the human race.

Time Everlasting
Anthony Blair Henrion
11/09/2017, Romance / Religious

Ben Ryder believes he has found the woman of his dreams―his soulmate. If he loses her, his one chance for true love will be gone forever. Yet problems exist: she is already in a serious relationship with someone else, and her faith in God is on a different level than his own. Still, she is the one. He can feelit. Surely this is the relationship he has been praying for since he was 13, so God will ultimately unite them, right?

Fortunately for Ben, he has an extremely valuable tool to help him overcome these problems―the ability to travel back in time. Through much study, effort, and an extraordinary clock―created by a timeless soul named Alden―Ben can head back to an important age in his life when he believes his destiny is still up in the air. He can alter his future to what was originally intended. However, he soon discovers much more than he ever anticipated and his faith is tested as his plans to “win the girl” do not go accordingly.

Time Everlasting is for anyone who has ever wondered if the circumstances that make up one’s life are destiny, or merely random coincidences that ultimately mean nothing. Readers will ask themselves whether they would change their own―or someone else’s–past if they had the ability to travel back in time? Should they? Is there a force guiding our destiny as we live? And if so, what role is left for free will to play?

Think you already know how you would answer those questions? After reading Time Everlasting, you might think differently. Then again, this story may just reinforce what you already believe to be true.

Point of Origin (The Circle of Time, Book 1)
Emil Roberts
11/21/2017, Science Fiction

Mankind is winning its struggle to survive. After centuries of fighting the battles are finally on the enemy’s turf, not theirs. It is the enemy that is retreating and losing worlds, not Man.

Yet, success is a two-edged sword. Things have begun to go so well that many, including Mankind’s politicians, are questioning why the sacrifices must continue. If Humanity is truly winning, why do they need more ships, more warriors and more powerful weapons. Some are even calling for peace!

To counter this blasphemy, Humanity’s military does what it always has. It invents a more powerful weapon. Surely once they end the war, destroying their enemy completely, a grateful Mankind will return their pivotal role in guiding the future. Never mind it has never worked before, that each increase in Man’s weaponry has resulted in a corresponding response from their long time enemy, leading to billions more deaths.

Never mind that this weapon is different, working at a level of unprecedented power, disrupting the bonds of time itself. What could possibly go wrong?

Hope Remains (Beyond Time, Book 2)
Rob Buck
11/27/2017, Science Fiction

When Cassie and Daniel Eagan find two undelivered letters in an abandoned shack deep in the woods, events are set in motion which radically change their lives and the lives of many others. One of the letters is an apology and proposal from Jacob to his estranged girlfriend, Sarah. Cassie takes up the cause of delivering this letter because she believes the couple still loves each other. Her mission to reunite the ex-lovers is a salve to her pain at the separation of her parents a year earlier.

Professor Peter Anderson, Sarah’s long-time friend and inventor or the EMSM (a device that can send Morse code signals back in time through a black hole), gets involved in the effort to deliver the letter to Sarah. His involvement brings a twist to the story no one could have anticipated.

The other undelivered letter, one steeped in evil, was also from Jacob. It uncovers an old plot by his ancestors to wipe out an entire family, the Hopes. Daniel takes up the cause of this letter, which includes a map where the Hopes were buried. He follows the map and this choice puts his life in danger.

Hope Remains is a story of enduring hope. It’s a story of the Hope family and its fight to survive, as they are brought to the brink of extinction. It’s a story of joyous reconciliation, of unswerving redemption through a steady hope. But it is also a story exploring the possibilities of changing an event by sending a message back in time.

  1. Quite a few people have heard me use these exact words before, but they bear repeating: One of our key missions at the Time Travel Nexus is to promote time travel projects and the people who make them happen. We love telling people about time travel books, and love it even more when it leads to someone trying out a new book.

And when Susan tries out your time travel book, it generally means we’ll get to learn more about it on her blog (https://timetraveltimestwo.com), which is geared toward YA and younger readers. Thank YOU Susan, for regularly contributing your time and energy to the time travel conversation as well.

Authors – you can help us spread the word about your books by keeping us informed as you get closer to publication. Send me a note at craig@timetravelnexus.com and I’ll make sure it gets mentioned in this column the month following its release. Also, tell your readers and friends about this column and TimeTravelNexus.com so that all of the books we talk about will reach more eyes and ears.
