Outlander: Are You Ready for Season 3?

I don’t know about you but I am ready to see what lies ahead for Jamie and Claire! Here is a recap of where we left them. SPOILER ALERT: (Do not read on if you have not seen Season 2 or the last episode in the season.)

My heart raced through the last episode of Season 2, “Dragonfly In Amber.” From that moment when Jamie discovers Claire is pregnant with their
child to counting down the seconds before Jamie forces Claire back through the stones, was on an emotional roller coaster.

Not to mention the fact that I felt so much frustration as I watched the conflict between Brianna, Claire’s daughter, and Claire carry on through most of the show.

I figured, after finding out that Frank had passed on, it would be easier for Claire to share the truth with Brianna about Jamie–but it wasn’t so. Brianna, even at the urging of her friend Roger MacKenzie, could not keep an open mind about her mother’s past.

It wasn’t until almost the end of the episode, when Brianna saw Geillis go through the stones for herself, that she finally believed everything Claire had told her and let go of her bitterness. For me, this moment was one of the highlights of the episode.

While I awaited (with dread) as the end of the show-the end of the season-approached, another surprise emerges: Jamie did not die in the battle of Culloden! There was so much relief in this and so much happiness, too.

When Claire says that she has to go back through the stones, I became excited. Immediately I knew season 3 would not get here fast enough!

Yet-here we are. Only days away until season 3 begins.

And so many questions left unanswered.

Here are just a few on my mind: Now that Jamie is alive, where is he? What is he doing? Also, what happens to Jack Randall? Does he really die when he is supposed to die? What will happen now that Brianna knows the truth about her mother and father? Will she try to go through the stones? Is she even able to go through the stones?

I can’t wait to find out! Can you?

While you wait just a little longer, here is the trailer for season 3. Enjoy! See you September 10th!

I have a passion for writing and a love for movies. I have written my first novel and am working on a second. The idea of time traveling has interested me since I was around the age of 10 when I saw the "Back to the Future" movies for the first time. I am fascinated with the lifestyle and fashion of the 1800's as well as the 1930's-1950's. It would be so amazing to me to live even just one day in one of these eras.
