Dane tracks the colonists and the battered Hab-7, which somehow survived the crash of the Ghimorphos. He negotiates for Cheska’s release and takes them back to Sanctuary. As she and Taro drift apart, she and Dane drift together.
While Cheska was away, the transgenic virus burned through Sanctuary like a wildfire, killing thousands outright. She pushes her body past its limits, using her powers to help them find a cure. As she delivers the cure to the Indigens, the colonists from Hab-7 mount a surprise attack on Sanctuary, threatening to finally wipe out the resistance.
The Indigens reveal the true power of the Verdant Dream to Cheska, forcing her to take a leap of faith. She might save her people, but will she lose herself in the process?

The history of planet Solaya was one riddled with war and chaos. With the help of key figures within each nation, the Solayans realized they had to put this tension aside and learn from one another. With the creation of a governing body known as The Assembly, the Solayan race uncovered the ability to shift objects, and eventually living beings, into a neighboring universe bordering their own. They began to record and document everything in this new universe.
Unfortunately, The Assembly learned something terrifying which threatened the very world they had worked so hard to build. Their sun would explode within the next two hundred years. Although this seemed far into the future, they realized they must start now to move their entire species to another inhabitable planet.
The Assembly set forth to design the perfect team for such a daunting task. LaDon Grafter, and his team of scientists, must use this new technology to find an inhabitable planet outside their own universe. Inside this neighboring universe, they find a small, blue planet. After recording and mapping out the history of Earth, from beginning to end, they learn the history of this “human” race is strangely similar to their own, although Earth’s history does not end up smelling like a bed of roses. Through recording devices known as Solespheres, LaDon’s team watch as the human race destroys each other as well as the planet as a result.
The Assembly, along with the brain power of LaDon’s well-crafted team, devises a plan to edit Earth’s time line and mold it’s history after Solaya’s. This makes it easier to introduce such a profound technology to the people of Earth while saving them from their own demise. At the same time, this gives the Solayan race a temporary solution until they can find a more suitable planet to call home.

Siblings Matthew and Elizabeth Janssen, eighteen and seventeen, together with their parents, take a long family vacation in Cape Cod, since Matthew leaves for college in the fall. Curious, the two teenagers start exploring and discover a secret room in the cottage they’re renting for the summer. In this room, they find a dusty old grandfather clock with a letter hidden inside.
This mysterious letter alleges that the clock is actually a time travel device. The letter writer, John, claims that, in 1927, he went back in time to save his cousin Alice, who was murdered in 1907, and whose ghost is doomed to forever flee down the beach, trying to escape her murderer—but to no avail. However, something happened, and John got stuck in 1907. He begs whoever finds the letter to figure out what went wrong with the clock and fix it, returning him to his own time of 1927.
Is it all a hoax, or could it possibly be true? And once Matthew and Elizabeth figure out what went wrong, fix it, and return John to his own time, will they be able to resist temptation to try it on their own? After all, the clock’s been fixed, so what could possibly go wrong?
