North (History Interrupted, Book 3)
Lizzy Ford

The past is waiting.

Josie Jackson is whisked further into the past, to the era of Vikings and the (almost) eternal winters of Norway. Carter, the mastermind behind her foray through time, reveals that she’ll be remaining there for six years – assuming she survives the first winter. To complicate matters, Josie has an unexpected health condition, one that threatens her life more than the frigid cold, Viking raids and wild animals.

After un-creating Taylor and leaving Batu in the Mongol era, Josie wants nothing to do with any other man, especially not the Viking warrior she’s engaged to shortly after dropped into a fjord in front of his village. Not everyone is as he seems in this era, from her reluctant new husband, to the mystic – scorned by the rest of the village – whose futuristic visions are too accurate to be divine, to Carter, the evil genius who’s tormented her through three eras of history.

When she finally learns the truth behind why he chose her, she understands too well what the stakes of this game really are.

Humans and Other Aliens: Book 2
Alexander Winzer
7/6/2017, Science Fiction

Jon, Delta and his team are back in book two of the ‘Humans and other Aliens’ series to face an even more deadly enemy. Get ready for a mind-bending ride where good clashes with ultimate evil, where ideas of time and space dissolve into universal truth, where time travel meets genetic engineering, and where classical sci-fi bonds with spirituality. Experience alien creations you have never encountered before, fierce and deadly, but at the same time kind, understanding and compassionate.

“Erin felt the wheel of time as an invisible weight on her shoulders. She was not a creature of time. She was not used to it tugging at her, forcing her boundlessness into frontiers shaped by ideas of man, creatures who lived in the artificial dimensions of time and space, who followed beliefs of life and death, and who lived in self-made isolation, beings who had managed to turn against their own kind. Harvesting humans was easy. Their physical form was weak; it was no match for her godlike strength. It took her a while to understand why other humans got so upset when one of their kind was harvested. Wheat did not complain when its neighbor was cut down, reduced to its essence only to be reborn in a different form.”

Crown of Ashes (Celestra Forever After, Book 4)
Addison Moore

You have betrayed me.
I’m coming for you, Gage Oliver.

Skypunch (Skypunch Chronicles, Book 1)
Logan Castle
7/9/2017, Science Fiction/Superheroes

It’s New Year’s Eve and I’ve only got my fourth drink to keep me company…

I’ll be honest; I’ve made some terrible choices in my life. Decisions I knew were wrong, but I made them anyway.

My most recent transgression, however, was by far the worst and also the reason I was burying my face in alcohol on a night where I should’ve been celebrating. What did I do, you might be wondering? I cheated on the love of my life, the only woman who ever really understood and accepted me. And now she’s gone.

No, this isn’t the story about how I joined some 12-step program and turned my life around. It’s not even the story about how I won the girl back. But it is the story of what happened next: when the hands of the clock tattoos on my forearms began to turn.

It was on that night when I began to realize everything I thought was true, really wasn’t. It was the night that redefined reality as I knew it, the night when I stared into the abyss…only to see my own face leering back at me.

Since then, I’ve done the unbelievable–I’ve shattered the barrier separating time and space; I’ve visited strange worlds and walked in alternate realities; I’ve been to the place where time itself stands still. And I’ve beheld the vastness of the Multiverse, the roof under which countless worlds exist and endless possibilities become reality.

You’re probably wondering how some jerk like me could’ve landed such a cool gig? Well, it’s not really all it’s cracked up to be because the Multiverse is under immediate threat of annihilation and I’m caught in the eye of the storm.

My name is Isaac Kent. And this is my story.

5. You never quite get used to tomorrows without yesterdays.
6. As much as you think you can help back then, you can’t. So don’t. But that’s easier said than done.
7. I wish I didn’t know what you’re about to find out.

The Shining Man (Doctor Who Series)
Cavan Scott
7/18/2017, Young Adult, Science Fiction/Fantasy

“Being scared is the least of your worries.”

The Shining Men are everywhere. You spot them out of the corner of your eye. Abnormally tall, with long lank hair, blank faces and blazing eyes. If they catch you, they’ll drag you away to who knows where. No one is safe. They’re on every street corner. Waiting. Watching. Shining bright.

Of course it’s a hoax. It has to be, right? It started as a joke, a prank for Halloween. Then it went viral. Idiots dressing up as monsters. Giving folk a scare. Silly masks and fright wigs. No one gets hurt. Because bogeymen aren’t real.

Until people start going missing and lights burn in the darkness. Burning like eyes.

But help is on its way, in the form of a strange man called the Doctor and his friend, Bill. The Doctor will keep us safe. The Doctor will stop the monsters. Unless the monsters stop the Doctor first…

An original novel featuring the Twelfth Doctor and Bill as played by Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie.

Save the future.

In modern day New York, magic is all but extinct. The remaining few who have an affinity for magic—the Mageus—live in the shadows, hiding who they are. Any Mageus who enters Manhattan becomes trapped by the Brink, a dark energy barrier that confines them to the island. Crossing it means losing their power—and often their lives.

Esta is a talented thief, and she’s been raised to steal magical artifacts from the sinister Order that created the Brink. With her innate ability to manipulate time, Esta can pilfer from the past, collecting these artifacts before the Order even realizes she’s there. And all of Esta’s training has been for one final job: traveling back to 1902 to steal an ancient book containing the secrets of the Order—and the Brink—before the Magician can destroy it and doom the Mageus to a hopeless future.

But Old New York is a dangerous world ruled by ruthless gangs and secret societies, a world where the very air crackles with magic. Nothing is as it seems, including the Magician himself. And for Esta to save her future, she may have to betray everyone in the past.

With Perry, she follows Blake into an elevator that opens into a deserted city on a planet far from Earth thousands of years in the future. Blake, who leads the trio with a consciousness known as The Guide, discovers this town’s inhabitants can only be seen when they hold completely still, and they all send a unified message: Get out!

Captured on the edge of town by the local military led by General Halloway, they discover the town is quarantined due to an accident with a new technology that was supposed to take the town out of phase to protect it. Now, everyone in the town is trapped, and no one can reach the phase generator to shut it down without phasing out and getting trapped as well. Furthermore, Halloway is not only uninterested in freeing the town, he shows them its usefulness to him and its danger by forcing people within its boundaries to get them out of his way.

With the assistance from a local movement dedicated to saving the city and a reluctant scientist who helped build the machine, the traveling trio must find a way to circumvent the general’s defenses, shut down the shield, and free the families of those he is helping.
